ok time for bed
ok so i was gonna eat ramen and drink my alcoholic beverage tonight while watching supernatural. that didn’t happen. instead i gave my ramen to my sister and started making more for me. that ended badly. i was drinking and grabbed my ramen wrong, burning my hand and now i’m drunk, my hand hurt, and i’m ready to pass out but can’t because pain in my hand. ugh
First of all, I’d like to let everyone know that after going through my wonderful day, Tumblr hasn’t been so happy. So I have made a small list of things I don’t like about Tumblr to show how annoyed I am about some people online.
Number 1. I saw some shit about The Faults In Our Stars. I don’t think anyone has the right to bash on someones work regardless if its good or bad. Someone worked hard, put their time and money into it, and it turned into something people like. Just because you found something in the book offensive doesn’t mean it wasn’t intended to offend anyone. I’m sure that John Green put that in there for a reason (and give me hate all you want, I don’t read acknowledgements or prologues/epilogues) and from what people are saying on my dash, he put a metaphor in there, thats all it was. He wasn’t mocking a girl with cancer. Think about this. Supernatural episode 9x12 with the lycanthropes has this clan wearing a silver bullet around their neck to remind them that life is precious. I think its kind of like that.
Number 2. I work at McDonald’s. I was happy they started the MLP toys with happy meals. I did not like however, when they ask for toys if they want “girl” or “boy”. Who gives a shit who wants the toy. All that matters is if they want that specific toy. I don’t work around customers because order is my way or doing things and customers aren’t always the best to work around for me. But I do know that some people still ask if the happy meal is for a “girl” or a “boy”. Its another reason why I don’t like to get happy meals from McDonald’s. And don’t blame the bronies for this. This has been happening for years with their toys, but it hasn’t gotten attention until now. If you pay attention, you’ll see. And MLP toys have come in before for happy meals. Its just different now because people know about bronies. So calm your fucking tits. I’m a brony, my daughter was a brony. I don’t need someone to tell me I’m a bad person because I most certainly am not.
This is all I got for now. I’m gonna watch TV now (SUPERNATURAL BITCHES)
Wendy’s is doing the same thing.
Will wonders never cease.
Reblogging this because it keeps showing up on my dash and I keep not-quite raining on the parade, but it seems like everyone thinks this means something different than it does, so I guess I’ll rain on it a little bit.
I’m afraid this motion has nothing to do with conquering the gender binary or whatever Tumblr is really happy about to be reblogging it so heavily. It’s not about making little children feel like they can get whichever toy they prefer. It’d be nice if it was, but I’d be shocked if that was the case.
No, the girl toy here is a My Little Pony. Which means that the *real* reason for this notice is that a bunch of bronies, as there are bajillions of photos and videos of them doing, are coming into fast food restaurants and buying several happy meals. They threw pissy fits when asked if they wanted the “boy or girl” toy, insisting that My Little Pony isn’t for girls or whatever, again, only saying this because of overwhelming evidence that bronies do this shit. Management eventually has enough of it, asks employees to just ask if people want Skylanders or My Little Pony so they won’t have any more disgusted bronies getting mad that their precious fandom is targeted at crappy dumb little girls.
So the short version is: this little paper unfortunately means the exact opposite of what you think it means, socially speaking. It was put up because grown-ass men get all pissy when it’s suggested that they like a thing for girls.
Proof: http://www.equestriadaily.com/2014/04/editorial-how-to-buy-mcdonalds-ponies.html <— this was posted on the net’s biggest brony hive on April 10, 2014. So yeah, this is sadly not about anything else but how awful bronies are, sorry.
why does anyone even care about other people doing things that have no negative outcome? like let girls take selfies with starbucks!! let straight dudes wear weird clothes!! let gay people be as feminine or as masculine as they want!! the next time you find yourself getting annoyed at someone, ask yourself “is this disrespectful? is this harmful to me or anyone else?” if the answer is no, then let it go - you probably have bigger things to worry about anyways
YES IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS GIF
But.. that’s my life..
So here are the three pieces I finished for Toronto Comicon this past Sunday! I’m really happy with the way they turned out and they were a big hit! It’s so amazing to go to cons and meet so many people who love the same things you do as much (if not more!) than you do! <3 Stay tuned - I will be finishing a much bigger who piece to debut in the New Year!
reblogging for the day crew!
